Garden visits
For the past 25 years I have grown a Plant Heritage National Collection of hardy Euphorbias on a large allotment at Firvale Allotment Gardens in the village of Harthill which lies to the south east of Sheffield. The 100+ Euphorbias are grown in 13 island beds amongst hundreds of other hardy perennials, shrubs and bulbs.
The collection has been featured twice on BBC 2’s Gardeners World programme with Joe Swift and Carol Klein both visiting on separate occasions.
It has also been featured in numerous national gardening magazines including the RHS’s ‘The Garden,’ 'Gardening Which' and ‘Gardens Illustrated’.
There is a small off-site nursery where plants propagated from the garden can be purchased. See nursery page.
After opening to the public for 26 years and donating over £15000 to charity I have decided to stop opening the garden to the public as I can no longer maintain the garden to the highest standard. I will continue to maintain my National Collection and anyone who wants to see the Euphorbia collection can book a visit.
